Overview of Eelo University

Welcome to Eelo University (EU), an institution dedicated to academic excellence and innovation in the East African and Horn of Africa region. Founded in 2007 with the mandate of the Ministry of Education, EU addresses critical issues impacting our communities and provides a transformative educational experience that prepares students for the challenges of the 21st century.

Location

Eelo University is strategically located in northern Somaliland, situated in northwestern Somalia. Our university lies between the coordinates 08°00′ – 11°30′ parallel north of the equator and 42°30′ – 49°00′ meridian east of Greenwich. We are bordered by Djibouti to the west, Ethiopia to the south, and the Puntland region of Somalia to the east, making EU a hub for students from diverse backgrounds.
