Program Overview:

The Bachelor of Science in Public Health program at Eelo University provides students with a comprehensive understanding of the principles and practices of public health. Through a multidisciplinary curriculum, students gain knowledge and skills in epidemiology, biostatistics, environmental health, health policy, and health promotion, preparing them for careers in promoting health, preventing diseases, and improving the well-being of communities.

Vision of the Program:

Our program envisions producing graduates who are passionate advocates for public health, equipped with the knowledge and skills to address current and emerging health challenges and disparities, and committed to promoting health equity and social justice.

Mission of the Program:

The mission of our program is to educate and train students to become competent public health professionals who can contribute effectively to the improvement of population health and the advancement of public health policies and interventions. We aim to prepare students for leadership roles in public health organizations, government agencies, non-profit organizations, and community-based initiatives.

Program Outcome:

Upon completion of the program, students will:

  1. Understand the determinants of health and disease at the individual, community, and population levels.
  2. Apply principles of epidemiology and biostatistics to analyze and interpret public health data.
  3. Design, implement, and evaluate public health interventions and programs to address health disparities and promote health equity.
  4. Advocate for evidence-based policies and practices that promote health and prevent diseases.
  5. Collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders, including healthcare providers, policymakers, and community leaders, to address public health challenges.

Eligibility and Admission

Eligibility and Admission:

  1. Educational Background: Applicants must have successfully completed secondary education or its equivalent, as recognized by the university.
  2. Academic Performance: Applicants must meet the minimum academic standards specified for the program, typically determined by a minimum grade (C) or equivalent academic performance metric.
  • English Language Proficiency: Applicants whose primary language is not English are expected to possess a foundational understanding of the English language.

Fees and Scholarships

The tuition fee for the Department of Public Health is $270 (Two Hundred US Dollars).

Additionally, we provide various scholarships:

  1. Merit Scholarship: Awarded to top-performing students with the highest scores in their class, offering them a full semester scholarship.

  2. Partial Merit Scholarships: Granted to students who rank second in their class based on exam results, offering partial financial support.

  3. Non-Merit Scholarships: Aimed at economically disadvantaged students unable to afford tuition fees, covering the entire program’s expenses.

  4. Partial No-Merit Scholarships: Available for financially needy students upon approval by the management team.

  5. Government Non-Merit Scholarships: Provided to students nominated by the government for sponsorship, covering the full program costs.

  6. Special Non-Merit Scholarships: Tailored for students with special needs, such as those with disabilities.

  7. Additionally, there are special non-merit scholarships for siblings, where one student receives a full scholarship if three siblings register at the university or if there are three siblings studying at the university simultaneously.

Program Duration

You will finish the undergraduate Public Health program within 8 semesters.
